Mural Update

Today we started to draw our design onto the big board and some of the smaller boards started to get painted.  We can't wait to see it all put together !

CARE Values

Mrs Trotter visited Room 1 today and gave out special bracelets to those students who have achieved their bronze CARE certificate. There are bronze, silver and gold bracelets to work towards which will be given out with the certificates.

Our City Trip

On Friday Rooms 1,2,3 and 4 hopped on the bus and headed to the city centre. Room 1 started at the Imagination Station where we made lego challenges and worked well in our teams. Next, we walked the the Cathedral Square and looked at the damaged buildings and had our lunch. After that, we walked to the Museum and explored the Paua House, the cave and the old street. Later on, we headed upstairs and looked at the animals and the big globe.

We all had an awesome day and would like to say a big "thanks!" to the parents who helped us.

Art Attack - Mural

This afternoon two Room 11 helpers came to help us prime the mural board. Next we are going to add our design in pencil.
Room 10 and 11 are priming the small squares to add to the outside of the big board.

We have started by sanding the boards to make sure they have smooth edges.

Pulley Making

We made pulleys and wrote instructions.

We are learning to write instructions.
